I appreciate that the professor understands that navigating through three sites might be a little overwhelming at first. I have been out of school for quite some time, but trying my best to absorb everything I can in order to succeed. I am familiar with google docs and bookmarks, but that is about it. I did not even see this assignment, but as I was scrolling through the blog stream, I kept seeing blog post for it. I went back to class wiki trying to locate the assignment. As you see I found it.  I will ask questions as need be, but learning to navigate through the different sites and making sure that I am not missing anything has been a challenge for me to say the least. 

I have always struggled with time management. Being a wife and a mom of three girls, college student, and being a speaker my time is easily consumed. It is hard trying to balance family time when you are in college. For Christmas, my best friend purchased me a passion planner to help me manage my time better. It has been a tremendous blessing for me because it helps me keep track of, as well as prioritize my daily goals. I have never taken an online class and I find it more intimidating then being in an actual classroom setting. It is only the first week, but I am realizing all ready that I have to manage my time in order to be successful in thi s class. 

When I first became a mom, I was under the fixed mindset assumption regarding my children's educational achievement. I was driven by results when it came to their education instead of their efforts. It was not until my youngest daughter, who is brilliant, started to struggle in the fifth grade. My husband and I started to notice her lack of interest in participating in school, challenges, and learning anything new. We did everything we knew as parents to do to help her succeed, not recognizing that how we were so-called helping her was part of the problem. We were not trying to help her learn, but we were pressuring her to bring home A's & B's. After several failed attempts, we decided to get her tested, luckily for us, the school my daughter attended offered several different types of learning test. In a world filled with the most beautiful and intriguing states, countries, and continents it is almost impossible to choose a favorite place. Nevertheless, if I have to choose a favorite place to visit it would be Chad Africa, mainly because my sister-in-law is from Chad. Over the years, her striking depiction of her country left, in me, a strong desire to visit. Going to visit Chad  would be a dream come true, and being able to visit a place where I would not have to be concerned about my safety is a huge perk. Not to mention, being able to authentically experience the culture and people without reserve. One shocking fact I learned is that tourism isn't huge in Chad. The reason being is that the greater part of the urban communities there are undeveloped. I can only speculate that it would be more beneficial for travelers to really do their research or try to connect with someone who use to or still resides there. T he best class I’ve ever taken, so far, is a Storytelling Class offered at a Junior College in Modesto, Ca. After being out of school for twenty years, my three daughters were at ages that no longer required every hour of my time, and my husband had finally accomplished his dream of becoming a Fireman, I mustard up the courage to face my greatest fear- obtaining my BA degree. I already held an AA degree in Computer Science, yet time has a way of intimidating your courageous act. Never the less, I pressed forward and registered for school.
