"Favorite Place"

In a world filled with the most beautiful and intriguing states, countries, and continents it is almost impossible to choose a favorite place. Nevertheless, if I have to choose a favorite place to visit it would be Chad Africa, mainly because my sister-in-law is from Chad. Over the years, her striking depiction of her country left, in me, a strong desire to visit. Going to visit Chad  would be a dream come true, and being able to visit a place where I would not have to be concerned about my safety is a huge perk. Not to mention, being able to authentically experience the culture and people without reserve.

One shocking fact I learned is that tourism isn't huge in Chad. The reason being is that the greater part of the urban communities there are undeveloped. I can only speculate that it would be more beneficial for travelers to really do their research or try to connect with someone who use to or still resides there. I can say that listening to my sister-in-law speak about her people, Chadians are respectful, humble, proud, and intelligent people. Despite the poverty and undeveloped cities, Chad is a beautiful and remarkable country to visit. Hopefully by 2020, my dream of visiting Chad will be reality.

If you looking for a luxury vacation with all-inclusive resorts and a plethora of fun attractions, Chad might be the destination for you. However, if you want to discover uncharted territory and create your own African adventure, Chad is the place for you.

  1. Hi Tiffany, it is amazing that you would love to visit Chad despite it not being very touristy. Many people seem to limit themselves when exploring the world because the place may not be as developed or have the same resources, but that mentality takes away from seeing amazing places. I have not visited Africa and I would love to travel to the country as well, mostly to see the beautiful wild animals that they have and be able to go on safaris. It is also great to learn about different cultures and languages, and see how people live throughout the world. Hopefully you do get to visit Chad and have a wonderful experience.

  2. Hello Tiffany!
I must say, Chad is quite an interesting choice for a favorite place but I do like that your sister-in-law's description of the place got you really interested in the country! Sometimes, we shouldn't always go to the big touristy locations or well known cliched locations but take time to visit some lesser known areas as you may be able to find a hidden gem in there somewhere! Africa, except for probably Egypt, may not be my cup of tea but as they say, to each their own. There is always something for everyone and regardless, I do hope that your dream of visiting Chad can come true!

  3. Hey Tiffany! Nice description on your favorite place! I hope you eventually get to visit Chad. I've never heard of it until I read your post. That would be a great place to experience and tour. Any place that has different cultures than your own sounds interesting. I really hope you get to live that dream and visit someday. Good luck Tiffany! I look forward to reading your other work.
